Morphe James Charles Palette Review and Swatches

One thing we all love is a Morphe palette and another we all love is James Charles, when there was a Collab happening we all knew we needed to have it. I have been wanting to order this palette for ages since it was first released but has always been out of stock, not that I'm surprised. so i was looking one day and saw that it was in stock on the Morphe website and i have never bought anything quicker. so if you want to see how i got on with this palette and see swatches then keep on reading.

I have been looking for more colourful palettes recently and this was one of the main ones that i wanted, another review will be coming on the other one that i found. Now higher end palettes isn't a thing i usually buy as i do love my drugstore palettes but i knew that i just has to have this certain palette. I did manage to get a discount code to use on the Morphe website which is "ADOPTLOVE" which helps out animal shelters.

Now on to the actual palette, the lay out of this palette i really like, it has the transition shades a lot more bigger as they are what you use most in a palette. It is layed out so that the more colourful shades are along the bottom kind of in the order of looks that you could do, so like the pinks and purples are together and then the greens and blues. The more neutral shades are all along the top kind of in the same order.

What first drew me to this palette is that it literally has everything that you could want in just one palette and you can do so many different looks with just this one. it has so many different shades and not one of them is similar. i definitely don't have anything else like this in my collection which i love as i like to have a bit of everything.

The packaging of this palette is definitely different to Morphe' previous palettes, in a more of a sturdier black cardboard packaging. It has James Charles' Signature in shiny black printed on the front of the palette. I do wish however that the shade names were printed on to the palettes instead of one of those plastic sheets as i always end up loosing them somewhere. There are some shades in this palette that do need a bit more work, like artistry needs a lot of work to pick up on the brush and escape is packed in to the pan a lot so it is a bit dry whereas all the other shades are so creamy.

In this palette there are 39 shades, 13 of them are a metallic formula and the other 26 are mattes. The shades in this palette are so pigmented that when swathing i barely had to dip my finger in. I have done a couple of looks with this palette over on my Instagram @kissnmakeup97 and i had no trouble blending the shadows out and i barley had to dip my brushes in. There was little to no fall out in the pans. The mattes are so pigmented but the metallic are something else. They feel so buttery and apply on to the eyes amazing.

I never really base the quality of shadows based on their swatches but in this case you don't really need to as everything about this palette is insane and everything just performs amazing. Below are all of the shade names and swatches of every shade in this palette:

First Row:

  • Canvas
  • Ringlight
  • So Good

As soon a i receive a palette i always have to have a play with it and create an eye look to see what i can come up with and to see what the quality of the shadows is like. I had to use the shade artistry, i did have to take a bit more work to apply but i love the overall result.

I hope you all enjoyed my review of the Morphe James Charles Collab palette and i would love it if you would comment yourself below letting me know your thought on my review and if you have this palette yourself and what you thought of it. It would really mean a lot if everyone could follow my blog as well as i have really been putting a lot of work in to my blog lately to make it the best that it can be and i would love for everyone to appreciate it as well. I hope you find this review use full and thank you all so much for reading.
