Review: Marc Jacobs Beauty Base Product

i have always wanted to try Marc Jacobs makeup but it has never been available to buy in the UK until mid last year on Net-A-Porter. I'm not usually a one to gravitate towards high end products as i do love my drugstore makeup and they have never failed to amaze me but i have always heard great things about marc Jacobs makeup, so when it was available to buy in the UK i jumped at the chance to get my paws on them.

Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer - £32
This coconut infused primer has a refreshing feel when applied to the skin while perfecting and prolonging your makeup. I love the packaging of this product or just their products in general. It looks so luxurious and so expensive. I white frosted glass with a pump. I love displaying these products on my vanity as they are just so aesthetically pleasing. The primer has a thin consistency, quite runny but what's good is that a little goes a very long way, not even one pump will do my whole face. This primer has a lovely finish, it is more of a hydrating finish which i don't usually go for but at this time of year my skin had been a lot more dryer than oily and so it is working great. And for those foundations that are too matte even for my skin, it works wonders. This primer doesn't even out my skin tone but it does smooth out my skin texture and does help my makeup glide on more smoothly. This primer has quite a florally scent, nothing to strong thought quite a nice smell. however with these products i was expecting a more coconut scent than anything.

Re(Marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate - £37
This coconut infused foundation is one of the most full coverage that i have tried in a long time. It is more of a dewy finish which i don't usually go for but if i use a more mattifying primer underneath then it is absolutely fine and will last quite a long while. With this foundation a little really does go a long way, just like the primer, so it will definitely last you a long time. It looks so gorgeous on the skin and it has never looked as good as when i have got this foundation on. The packaging of the is almost the same as the primer, a frosted glass packaging with a shiny black cap. It doesn't have a pump but a applicator in which you'd apply it straight to your face. I do prefer these applicators much more than a pump as who want to get their hands covered in foundation. This blends so easily and gives the ultimate flawless finish. IT does have a rather high price range and i usually wouldn't pay that but it is so worth it and i would definitely recommend it to anyone who it looking for an extremely high coverage foundation.

Finish Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder £32
The packaging of this loose powder is a lot more different than the primer and foundation. It isn't in the same frosted glass but does have frosted plastic, i must say i was expecting more from this and for it to be a little more better looking. However inside it does have a mesh dispenser which makes getting to the powder so much easier and with little to no waste, you get just the right amount on the brush. IT does state that it is an invisible powder which i kind of agree with, but it does have a very slight yellow undertone, nothing to noticeable though. It does have a matte finish and looks lovely under the eyes, i then went to set my whole face with it but it didn't set my face completely and still left it a but tacky. I found that the best way to apply this powder to my under eyes was with a small tapered brush as i don't like to bake my under eyes as i don't like the finish that it gives. I don't use this powder and foundation together as in my opinion they don't work as good together as i would have liked, but with any other foundation it works great.

Re(Cover) Coconut Setting Spray - £25
The packaging of this setting spray is very similar to the primer, with the frosted glass and the shiny cap. It does have quite a difficult spray in which you have to press down quite hard to get a nice spray, like a mist. If you don't it will leave splotches all over your face. The formula in this bottle you can tell looks very milky which i kind of like. It is more of a hydrating finish which i don't usually go for as i do have combination skin but if i am wearing a very matte foundation then this is the one that i will use. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and looking so smooth and flawless. I do love trying different setting sprays as tbh i just love anything that i can spray on my face and this once you spray it correctly gives such a lovely finish. This bottle does come with a lot of product which for the price it definitely makes this a great value. This setting spray like the other products doesn't have a coconut scent which i was disappointed about but does have quite a florally scent.

Air Blush Soft Glow Duo - £28
The packaging of this product is a very shiny black packaging with a silver button to open. Inside is quite a large mirror. This is a two toned blusher going from light to just a bit darker. The shade i have in this is Kink & Kisses which is a lovely peachy pink shade. I have often had some blushers that just don't blend to easily, but this one really does and i had no trouble at all blending it out. It has a gorgeous satin finish with ought there being any glitter involved. It is lovely and luminous on the skin without emphasising any texture on the skin. I find the pigmentation of this really good and doesn't come out to strong when you first put it on but you can also build it up really easily. The lasting power of this is really impressive and it doesn't budge for hours or tbh all day. Non the less this packaging and the formula is very luxurious and has definitely become a favourite in my collection.
